Microsoft Extending Windows 7/8.1 support for Intel 6th Gen Devices
Microsoft has updated its support policy for 6th Generation Intel Core (Skylake) devices, and will now support Windows 7 until January 14, 2020 and Windows 8.1 until January 10, 2023 for those devices.
Originally, Microsoft had announced that they would stop support Skylake after July 17, 2017.
